    Tornike is the technology architect at Emperor Investments. He was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia but grew up in Guelph, Canada. He studied Computer science and business at the University of Guelph. Before Emperor Investments Tornike has completed internships at Amazon, Microsoft, and Blackberry. With great people at his side, he hopes to build awesome technology that people will love to use.

    Francis Tapon

    CIO and Co-founder

    Francis Tapon is a co-founder of Emperor Investments. He started his investment career at Charterhouse, Japhet and Thomasson Ltd, a merchant bank in London England. He left Charterhouse to go back to the United States and study for a PhD in Economics and Finance. Since then, Francis has taught investment finance at universities in Canada, the US, Australia and France.

    Francis holds a Diploma from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (France), an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MA and a PhD in Finance and Economics from Duke University. He is Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Guelph (Canada).

    Brenna has 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, working with one of Canada’s top financial institutions. Prior to that, she worked in Dubai for a large accounting firm with the majority of her experience in compliance, relationship management and advisory support. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph, majoring in Finance and Economics, and is currently CFA level III candidate.

Mr. Griffiths was the Chairman of Mitel Corporation, a telecommunications company from 1987 to 1993, and from 1991 to 1993 assumed the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer in addition to that of Chairman. He is also the author of Corporate Catalyst. Mr. Griffiths was born in Rangoon, Burma. He was educated at McDonogh School, Maryland, McGill University in Canada and at the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration

    Vitali was captivated by portfolio optimization methods during his postgraduate studies and came to money management to apply his skills. His academic research with Francis Tapon gave birth to the idea behind Emperor.

    Vitali holds a BA in Economics (with Distinction), International University, Moscow, (Russia); an MA in Economics, York University, Toronto, Canada; a Graduate Diploma in Financial Engineering, Schulich School of Business, Toronto; PhD in Economics, University of Guelph, Canada. Vitali Alexeev is Senior Lecturer, Finance Discipline Group, UTS Business School University of Technology Sydney, Australia.
